I see very dedicated people around me. They like what they do a lot. They seem to work all the time. I am wondering when do they have time to do anything else then work. I respect them. I cannot be like them...
I love my job. I love what I'm doing for a living. If I would have to choose again what to do in my life, I would choose the same profession. But I get tired. It happens that I need a break, I need a vacation from all these technology related things. I love tech, but I love to go hiking in the mountains. I like having fun with my very good and funny friends. I cannot see myself behaving like some of my colleagues that seem to be always working. If I don't have a break, then I loose the pleasure of working.
Of course I realize this on the 27th of December, first day of work after Christmas. Ah.. and one more work day before vacation. Going to a cabin in a beautiful place in the mountains with some dear friends. Maybe it's just natural not to enjoy working today..
My plan was to make a post about technology, a post that I've been postponing for a while, but it was impossible to find the inspiration for that today.
So, I hope that everybody has the opportunity to enjoy what they are doing for a living, as I usually do. Of course there are some exceptions, which nevertheless don't change the great picture.

foreman
Puppet has more and more disciples as days go by. I personally predict a bright future for this piece of software.
Alongside puppet, anyways foreman is another project which improves significantly from one release to another. It is the only useful frontend to puppet, because puppet-dashboard, the frontend developed by puppetlabs is a long way from being useful at all.
Maybe some day..
